The Youngest Son Sends His Father to Holy Land | Dreamway

Your aspirations matter. We prove it! In August, we had the opening round of the Dreamway promo. We are proud to announce that the first winner is Pak Jayadi from Makasar, Indonesia. We congratulate the winner and share his story with you.

How Jayadi joined Dreamway

On August 1st, we shared a post on our Indonesian Facebook page. Jayadi has left a comment together with other participants. The young man wrote:

“My dream is in my father’s age, who is getting weak and sick, even he says, ‘My life is not long anymore.’ I want to send him to Hajj or Umrah. At least, the worship he has done so far will be completed as a Muslim who adheres to the pillars of Islam.”

His message has touched the heart of our team. We decided to contact him and learn more about his father. Jayadi replied to us shortly. We agreed on the visit date.

A trip to Makasar

The Headway team has traveled to Makasar to deliver the prize by hand to Jayadi’s family. The man has introduced his loved ones to us, his father and two sisters.

Umar Saga, Jayadi’s father, is a Muslim village priest. He also gardens as his capabilities and age allow him. In recent years, Mr. Umar has suffered from acute asthma. Still, he gardens every day to survive in the age of industrialism and progress. 

To thank the father for raising him, Mr. Jayadi has wished for him to go for Umrah, to the Holy Land of all Muslims.

When will Umrah happen?

Jayadi’s family was deeply touched by the news. Already in October, Mr. Umar will visit the place of his dreams. Headway will cover all expenses of the trip for Umar Saga. We are happy to support a number of our community and his family on their way to a dream.
